MAIN SCHOOL FACILITIES
EAST WING STUDIO
The former Grammar School gymnasium has undergone a significant process of change over the past 2 years and is now a stand alone, high quality drama facility, with electronically retractable bleacher seating for 200 people, plus additional floor capacity for a further 50 seats. A full redecoration of the room plus a regeneration sand and strip of the beautiful, original redwood floor was completed in 2013.
The studio also has floor to ceiling black out curtains, a mirrored wall of fitness and exercise classes, a stage with lighting and sound facilities, and 3m x 3m rear projection cinema screen and 6.1 surround sound system.
The studio is available for productions, lectures, meetings, class bookings and more.
WEST WING GYMNASIUM
In 2013 the original Malton School gymnasium underwent a full scale makeover, with floor to ceiling redecoration, new state of the art lighting and a full regeneration of the original flooring.
The three week project was possible as a result of a £10,000 grant from Awards for All, with the high quality facility now available to the communities of Malton and Norton for evening and weekend lettings.
MAIN SCHOOL HALL
The main school hall is a very large, open area which is suitable for meetings, parties, festivals, lectures and more.
With seated accommodation for up to 300 people, the facility also has a stage, full sound and lighting for plays and production, refreshment facilities and parking for up to 80 vehicles, with further parking available at the school’s east wing (2 minutes walk away).
In Late 2016 we hope to host a craft fair and Christmas fair.
The school also have IT and sounds specialist on site, who are available to help accommodate bespoke booking needs, with equipment available to hire as part of the package.
3G ALL WEATHER FOOTBALL PITCH
The pitch is available in 3 distinguished sizes:
1/3 Pitch – 60m x 36m
½ Pitch – 60m x 55m
Full Pitch – 60m x 110m
The 3G is open for bookings to local clubs and the general community and can be booked from 4pm-10pm Mon – Fri and 9am-4pm Sat/Sun, and throughout the daytime during school holiday periods.
Availability is limited during the football season (Sept – Apr) due to club block bookings and competitive football matches.
Along with weekly in-house maintenance, the pitch undergoes regular external maintenance & assessment by Technical Surfaces Limited; the company responsible for the maintenance of the FA’s 3G surfaces at St. Geroge’s Park.
SPORTS HALL
Built with a semi-sprung solid wooden floor, the hall is a beautiful facility offering the following sports:

– Tennis & Short Tennis
– Fitness Classes
– Futsal
