Primary School Sport

MCSC and Malton School are committed to supporting and delivering high quality PE and Sport within our partner primary schools.

The centre offers a package encompassing over 20 festivals for children in all primary year groups, after school clubs, a package of continuous professional development in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust and 2 hours free PE provision each week*, along with support with funding bids, equipment procurement, club links and accreditation of external sporting activity providers.

Our team of organisation and delivery staff includes a School Sport Coordinator and 4 qualified sports coaches. Sessions can be run on individual school sites or here at MCSC, allowing all pupils access to the best sports facilities in the area.

Primary School Continuous Professional Development Programme

In partnership with the Youth Sport Trust (YST), MCSC offer a programme of 5 primary specific CPD courses per year. The YST are regarded as the premier school sport CPD provider in the country, and this year’s programme caters for teachers in all age groups of primary school teaching.

 

Entry into the programme is £250 for partner school (those signed up to our Primary Sport Package) and £350 for all other school. All courses are held at MCSC and lunch and refreshments are provided for all participants.
